About National Association for the Dually Diagnosed
The National Association for the Dually Diagnosed seeks to stimulate the public and professional awareness regarding the dually diagnosed (mental retardation/mental illness) population. Through encouraging the dissemination and exchange of pertinent information, promoting educational and training programs, advocating for appropriate governmental policies, supporting research focused on identification, diagnosis, and treatment, and fostering the development of resources and services, NADD hopes to encourage a greater awareness and education among the general public and those affected by a dual diagnosis.
