About National Center for Chromosome Inversions
The National Center for Chromosome Inversions (NCFCI) is a non-profit, voluntary health organization that helps support basic medical research on chromosomal inversions and functions as a point of connection for parents of affected children. Chromosome inversions are a rare defect in which two or more portions of a chromosome break off, become separated, and rejoin the chromosome in the wrong order. Established in 1992, the National Center for Chromosome Inversions has a variety of educational materials.
