About Post-Polio Health International
Established in 1960, The Post-Polio Health International (PHI) — formerly International Polio Network — including International Ventilator Users Network (IVUN), is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the independent living, self-direction, and personal achievement of people with disabilities worldwide. The mission of Post-Polio Health International is to enhance the lives and independence of polio survivors and home mechanical ventilator users by promoting education, networking, and advocacy among these individuals and healthcare providers. PHI promotes patient and professional education, has a network of support groups, and conducts workshops and conferences. PHI also provides a variety of materials including directories, newsletters, booklets, and brochures.
