Description

The mission of the Sarcoma Foundation of America is to act as an advocate for sarcoma medical research. Sarcoma is a cancer of the connective tissue (nerves, muscle, bone, and tendons) that is diagnosed in approximately 9,000 Americans each year. In the adult population, sarcoma represents one percent of all new cancers diagnosed. Established in 2000, the foundation provides services that include patient networking, advocacy and support for research, patient education, and promotion of general awareness of sarcoma among the public.
