Rally med resSave the date for Sept. 21-22 for a nationwide day of action!  Join NORD and 300+ partner organizations as we ‘rally’ for medical research as part of the annual Rally for Medical Research Capitol Hill Day.

Federal funding for medical research is critical to the health and well-being of all Americans, especially for the 1 in 10 living with rare diseases.  Less than 5 percent of the 7,000 rare diseases have an FDA-approved treatment.

Last year, Congress provided the first significant increase in funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in more than a decade. Now is the time to build on that momentum by urging Congress to continue making medical research a national priority by providing robust, sustained, and predictable funding increases for the NIH in 2017 and beyond.

Join a broad coalition of stakeholders representing millions of patients and other advocates from the medical research advocacy community on September 21-22, 2016, for the next Rally for Medical Research Hill Day and help raise awareness of the urgent need for continued investment in the NIH to improve health, spur more progress, inspire more hope, and save more lives.

Sign up to attend on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, for the “Rally” reception and on Thursday, September 22, 2016, for the “Rally Hill Day” meetings!
