Belgian Association for Metabolic Diseases

The Belgian Association for Metabolic Diseases (BOKS) is a rare-disorder organization dedicated to improving the quality of life, and the span of life, for patients with metabolic disorders. Metabolic disorders have to do with disturbances, often inherited; in the way food is broken down and used by the body. BOKS offers reports, brochures and audio-visual aids to patients, family members, the general public, and health and other professionals. BOKS also provides services that include support groups, patient networking, and education for patients and the general public.
