This June in Houston, Texas, the 2019 Living Rare, Living Stronger | NORD Patient & Family Forum will bring the rare community together with physicians, medical students and allied health
professionals for a program of learning, sharing and connection – in an atmosphere of support and understanding – plus fun! This year will be the first time the Rare Impact Awards will be presented outside of Washington, D.C., in conjunction with Living Rare, Living Stronger. In what promises to be an unforgettable evening, the awards ceremony will be held at Space Center Houston, the Official Visitors Center of NASA Johnson Space Center, which is the home of astronaut training and Mission Control.
Now we need your help by submitting nominations that will help us assemble a roster of honorees befitting this extraordinary venue.
This year we will be honoring individuals and organizations that have truly gone above and beyond to propel progress and bolster rare disease patients and communities. They are your family, friends, colleagues, mentors, medical team members, or even advocates that you have come to learn about through social media, in the news or at events. They are people and groups who are stepping up and making strides to change the status quo for rare diseases. The concrete examples you can provide of their work and achievements will help set them apart as nominees.
